Nursery rhyme emoji game sheet and pencil ready for a baby shower

Baby Shower Emoji Game Printable with Nursery Rhyme Answers

A table game works best when guests can settle in with a pen and start without a long explanation. This picture quiz uses six familiar English nursery rhymes, with enough space for full titles and a separate answer sheet for the host.

Give everyone the same simple rules

Ask guests to guess the nursery rhyme represented by each row of emoji symbols and write its title on the line. Allow about five minutes, with one point for each correct answer. Tell players before starting that familiar title variations and minor spelling mistakes count.

The clues describe a title or a memorable scene, rather than encoding every word. For example, a mouse beside a clock points to the rhyme about a mouse running up a clock. This makes the emoji guessing game approachable without asking guests to recognize obscure phone icons.

Keep the answer key with the host

The answers in order are Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star; Baa, Baa, Black Sheep; Hickory Dickory Dock; Mary Had a Little Lamb; Row, Row, Row Your Boat; and Hey Diddle Diddle. The final clue shows the cow jumping over the moon. The black sheep clue relies on a black circle beside a sheep, so keep those two symbols distinct when checking the print.

Accept Row Your Boat as a shortened title and other clearly recognizable versions. If two teams tie, let them share the win or draw a name from the tied teams. A surprise spelling rule or speed contest can make a relaxed baby shower picture quiz feel unnecessarily strict.

Make room for guests who know different songs

This nursery rhyme emoji game assumes familiarity with English nursery rhymes. Pair guests who would enjoy solving together, and make participation optional. For a group with different language backgrounds, read the six titles aloud before playing for an easier matching challenge, or let the table discuss clues without scoring.

Check the print before guests arrive

Use portrait orientation and Fit to printable area on US Letter or A4 paper. The page has a vertical 2:3 shape, so some extra white space above or below it is normal. Avoid Fill or borderless enlargement, which can cut off the edges.

Print one test sheet first and check the sheep, clock, boat, cow, and moon at arm’s length. Grayscale is fine if the symbols remain recognizable; color can make the clues easier to distinguish. Put pens beside the guest sheets and keep your single answer copy with the prize so the game can start when the table is ready.
