Set out the cards without making it a performance
Place pens within reach and provide a tray or envelope for completed cards. Offer about five minutes during a natural pause in the celebration, or let guests write while they arrive. Tell everyone that guesses are just for fun and that leaving a field blank is welcome.
The card asks for an arrival date, a time with AM or PM, and a name guess. It leaves out body measurements and gender predictions so the activity does not need those details to work. If the family would rather avoid arrival guesses, invite guests to use only the advice and wishes spaces.
Write encouragement the parents will want to keep
A useful note can be small and specific: offer to bring dinner, remind the parents that rest matters, or share a kind memory. Guests who do not have children can write new baby wishes instead of trying to sound like parenting experts. Avoid frightening birth stories, medical instructions, or predictions about how the parents will feel.
The printed prompts ask for a gentle tip and a wish for the baby. One sentence in each space is enough. There is no answer key or scoring sheet because this is a baby shower keepsake, not a knowledge test.
Add a playful reveal only if the family wants one
For a light baby shower game, keep the prediction cards together and compare the arrival guesses after the family chooses to share the news. Agree beforehand whether the closest calendar date wins, and allow a tie. Do not ask the parents to announce private information just to settle a game.
Print clearly and store the finished notes
Use portrait orientation and fit the complete image inside the printable area with cropping turned off. The page has a vertical 2:3 shape, so Letter or A4 paper will have extra white space around it. Start with one test copy at roughly 6 by 9 inches, checking that the labels are comfortable to read and the writing lines have enough space before printing the rest.
Choose matte paper or printer compatible cardstock so ordinary pens can write cleanly. Keep the green botanical details in color or print in grayscale; the dark labels and rules do not depend on color. Once the ink is dry, collect the cards in an envelope marked with the celebration date and tuck them into a memory box for the family.
