Waiting for dinner can feel much longer from a child’s chair. Give young guests a few clear activities they can start with crayons, without needing to leave the table or borrow a phone. This three page pack combines coloring, drawing, and a small keepsake for the couple.
The pages are designed mainly for children around ages four to eight, with an adult reading the prompts when needed. Older children can add more detail, while younger guests may prefer just the coloring page. An activity pack offers something to do; it does not replace supervision.

Start with a cake to color

The first page gives children a simple place to begin: a large wedding cake to color and a line for their name. Broad shapes leave room for crayons, so a younger child can enjoy this wedding coloring book without reading every word. There is no correct color scheme and no need to finish before dinner.

The second page asks children to decorate a cake, draw a party outfit, and invent a flower. These open drawing tasks suit children who prefer making things up to following puzzle rules. A grownup can read each prompt aloud, then let the child decide what belongs in the empty spaces. Keep this page available for a quiet pause between courses rather than turning it into a timed competition.
Leave a little message for the couple

The last page becomes a small keepsake with a picture, a wish, and the child’s name. Children who are not writing yet can dictate their message to an adult or use drawings throughout. Ask the couple whether they would like to collect these pages, and let each child keep the coloring sheets. None of these activities has a fixed answer, so this reception activity pack does not need an answer key.
Set out the pages when children need them
Place the pack with a small set of washable crayons before the reception meal, or give it to a parent to bring out during a wait. For a ceremony, check with the couple first and avoid noisy packaging. Children seated with their caregivers can use the same pages as a separate kids wedding table; the seating arrangement should follow the family’s supervision needs.
Keep drinks away from the paper and leave enough table space for plates. Skip glitter, glue, and loose decorations that create cleanup during food service. A spare copy is useful when someone spills a drink or wants to start again.
Print a readable book without trimming
Choose portrait orientation and fit the entire image inside your printer’s printable area on A4 or US Letter paper. The page proportions leave extra white space on these paper sizes; do not choose a setting that fills the sheet by cropping. Print one test page first and check that the smallest instructions are comfortable to read.
Use ordinary white paper and print on one side so strong crayon marks do not interfere with the next activity. Stack the pages in the order shown and let an adult staple them along the left edge if a bound book is useful. You can also leave them loose and offer just one at a time. Keep the crayons within reach before the first long wait begins.
